The premise

Some empires are held together by armies.
This one is held together by something far older — and far hungrier.

Drakatharun is a world where dragons are not beasts but powers, where the lines between magic, mind, and machine were drawn long ago and are beginning to fail, and where a long peace rests on a truth that only a few are permitted to know. The saga follows those who come to carry that truth — and what it costs them.

This is a world built slowly, over more than twenty years, and it is only now being written down. What you will find here, for now, is a doorway rather than a map. The deeper world will open in step with the books, so that wonder is never spent before its time.

Where it began

Drakatharun began at a table, in a set of campaigns played with friends more than two decades ago — a world argued over, expanded, and never quite put down. The saga is, in part, a letter back to those friends and to the worlds we build together when we are young enough to believe in them.
